But this year, a few campaigns went above and beyond, delivering more than just glitz – they brought genuine moments of connection, creativity, and even a sprinkle of holiday magic.

The team at Untangld have chosen their favourites, and we’ll be sharing them with you in the lead-up to Santa’s big day out.

From Virgin Media O2’s modern-day Christmas miracle to the Norwegian Postal Service’s hilarious reindeer drama, this lineup is packed with everything from heartstring-tugging stories to unexpected chuckles. So, to kick off proceedings, we have John Broadfoot, our Design Partner, sharing his standout fave: featuring Rudolf and his rise and fall from fame. Enjoy!

Ever wondered what happens when Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer lets fame go to his head? The Reinfall, a Christmas ad from the Norwegian Postal Service, hilariously imagines just that.

The story unfolds in mockumentary style, showing Rudolph’s rise from Santa’s trusty leader to a full-blown celebrity. With his newfound fame, he starts living the high life—think fancy events, sponsorship deals, and non-stop attention. But as his ego grows, things start to spiral. Suddenly, Rudolph’s name is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, and his fall from grace is as dramatic as it is funny.

This ad is a clever move by the Norwegian Postal Service. It uses humour and a relatable take on Netflix-style documentaries and celebrity culture to grab your attention, while subtly reminding you of their real message: when Santa and his crew can’t deliver, they’ve got it covered. It’s light-hearted, festive, and puts a fresh spin on a classic Christmas character.

In the end, The Reinfall makes you laugh and leaves you thinking about how reliable the Norwegian Postal Service is, even when Rudolph takes a break from saving Christmas. It’s the perfect mix of holiday fun and a smart campaign.
