AusPost delivering Christmas for Australia

by Edwina Olver

Turning functionality into reality with some Christmas magic

When I think of an Aussie brand that has to get it fundamentally right when approaching Christmas, Australia Post tops the list. AusPost quite literally has to deliver Christmas all across the nation, so if a present goes missing or a package misses the cut-off date, AusPost are on the hook for the naughty list.

Aus Post has certainly copped its fair share of pressure over the last decade when it comes to rising postage costs, the reliability of deliveries, steep courier competition, and the increasing year on year volume of parcels that need to be delivered in time for Christmas.

But if there’s ever a time to sprinkle a dust of Christmas spirit on the nation to ram home the message of reliability, Aus Post’s Christmas advertising over the last few years has hit the mark.

The latest campaign of Australia Post Christmas commercials executed by The Monkeys follows Santa Claus as an undercover intern at AusPost to work out how they go about delivering gifts at Christmas time. Paired up with a postie, Nick discovers exactly how Aus Post nails their reliability of service with their App, Parcel Lockers and electric powered fleet.

This campaign brings a positive, charming spin, and a touch of Aussie humour to a nation that’s spread far and wide, and cleverly reinforces the universal message that AusPost is modernising its forces to maintain its reputation as Australia’s most reliable courier service.
